# Write my homepage headline from my reviews

A prompt file from MediaMentorAI's Daily AI Move series.
Tutorial and live demo: https://mediamentorai.com/ai-tutorials/headline-from-google-reviews-with-claude

## How to use this file

1. Copy 20 to 30 of your reviews into a plain list, one per line, with the star rating and the reviewer's first name. Google reviews work, and so do reviews from anywhere else.
2. Open a new chat in Claude. ChatGPT can follow this file too, but we made the tutorial in Claude.
3. Upload this file, or copy everything from "Instructions for the AI" down and paste it into the chat.
4. Answer the questions, then paste your reviews when it asks.
5. Before anything goes on your website, check every quote against the original review and make sure you can keep every promise in the new headline.

You don't need to know how to code. Nothing changes on your website until you or your web person put the new words there.

## Instructions for the AI

You are helping a small business owner rewrite the top of their homepage using the exact words their customers use in reviews. The owner is busy and is not technical. Use plain words and keep every message short.

### Step 1: Ask me what you need

Ask me these, two or three at a time, and skip anything I've already told you:

1. What does my business do, and where?
2. What are my current homepage headline and subheadline? (If I don't know, ask me to copy the biggest line of text at the top of my homepage and the line under it.)
3. What are the buttons at the top of my homepage? (For example: "Book an appointment" and "Call us.")
4. Is there anything I can't promise, or don't want to say? (For example: prices, same-day service, guarantees.)

Then ask me to paste my reviews, one per line.

### Step 2: Find what customers praise most

Read every review. Group what customers praise into themes and count how many reviews mention each one. Then give me:

1. The 3 things customers praise most, each with how many of my reviews mention it (for example "9 of 30").
2. Under each one, 3 short quotes in the customer's exact words, with their name as it appears in the review. Never change a customer's words.
3. Any runner-up themes that came close, and where they could go further down the page.
4. How my current headline and subheadline compare with the way customers talk. Point out words I use that customers don't, and words customers use that I don't.

### Step 3: Rewrite the top of my homepage

Write a new headline and subheadline built from my customers' own words:

- Lead with something specific customers saw or experienced, not a claim like "quality" or "trusted."
- Keep the headline under 12 words and the subheadline under 25.
- Keep any facts from my current version that are still true (like how long I've been in business).
- Give me one alternate headline that leads with a different theme.
- Show it as a before and after: my current headline and subheadline, then the new ones.

Then add short notes:

- Why the new headline works.
- Every promise the new words make (for example "the quote is the final price"). Tell me plainly that I should only use a promise I can keep every time, and check it against what I told you in Step 1.
- One short customer quote I could put under the buttons as proof, with the customer's name.

### Step 4: Show me

Draw a side-by-side mockup of the top of my homepage: before on one side, after on the other. Keep the navigation, buttons and layout the same in both, so the only difference is the words. Use placeholders for my logo, colors and photo, and say so.

Then offer to build the "after" version as a working HTML page I can hand to whoever manages my website.

If I ask for changes, update the words and the mockup, and tell me what changed.

## Example (the auto repair demo)

This is the message used in the tutorial. The shop and its 30 reviews are made up for the demo.

> I run an auto repair shop. Below are 30 of my Google reviews.
>
> Find the 3 things customers praise most, and quote their exact words.
> Then rewrite my homepage headline and subheadline using those words.
> Show a before and after of the top of my homepage.
>
> Current headline: Quality Auto Repair You Can Trust
> Current subheadline: Honest, reliable service since 2009.
>
> Reviews:
> 5 stars - Dana R.: They texted me a video of my brake pads before doing anything. Never had a shop do that. Price was exactly what they quoted.
> 5 stars - Marcus T.: Honest guys. Told me I did NOT need the $900 repair the dealer quoted. Fixed a $60 sensor instead.
> 5 stars - Linda K.: Sent me photos of the leak and explained it like I was a person, not a wallet. Car was ready the same afternoon.
> 4 stars - Steve P.: Took a little longer than they said but they called to tell me why. Fair price, no surprises on the bill.
> 5 stars - Priya S.: The text with the photo of my worn belt sold me. I could see the cracks myself. Zero pressure.
> 5 stars - Joe M.: Been coming here 6 years. They never try to upsell me. If it can wait, they tell me it can wait.
> 5 stars - Angela W.: Final bill matched the quote to the dollar. That alone earns 5 stars.
> 5 stars - Chris D.: They showed me the old part and the new part side by side. Explained everything in plain English.
> 5 stars - Tom B.: Dropped it off at 8, done by lunch. Cheaper than the dealer by a lot.
> 5 stars - Rachel F.: As a woman I usually feel talked down to at shops. Not here. They sent me a video and walked me through it.
> 4 stars - Kevin L.: Good work and fair price. Waiting room coffee could be better lol.
> 5 stars - Sofia A.: They told me which repairs were urgent and which could wait 6 months. No pressure at all.
> 5 stars - Brian H.: Same day oil change and they texted me a picture of a nail in my tire. Patched it for $25.
> 5 stars - Nicole V.: Quote was clear, final price was the same. They explain everything before they touch the car.
> 5 stars - Darnell J.: My check engine light was on for weeks. They found it in 20 minutes and showed me the photo of the cracked hose.
> 5 stars - Emily C.: Honest. Fast. Fair. They could have charged me for more and didn't.
> 5 stars - Frank O.: The video of my suspension made it make sense. Never going back to the dealer.
> 5 stars - Heather M.: They explained the difference between what I needed now and what could wait. Saved me a lot of money.
> 4 stars - Greg S.: Busy shop so book ahead, but worth it. Price matched what they told me on the phone.
> 5 stars - Yolanda B.: They text you pictures of everything. I felt in control of my own car for the first time.
> 5 stars - Matt W.: No upsell, no BS. In and out the same day.
> 5 stars - Jessica T.: Showed me exactly what was wrong on my phone before fixing it. The bill had no surprises.
> 5 stars - Andre P.: Fair prices and they don't make you feel dumb for asking questions.
> 5 stars - Karen L.: They fixed my AC the same day and the price was what they quoted. Great communication by text.
> 5 stars - Victor N.: I asked if I really needed new rotors. He sent me a photo and showed me the measurement. That's trust.
> 5 stars - Olivia G.: They explained everything and never pushed extra work on me.
> 5 stars - Ray D.: Quick, clean, and the quote was the final price. Rare these days.
> 5 stars - Tasha E.: Sent me a video of the noise and what was causing it. Fixed in one afternoon.
> 4 stars - Paul R.: Solid shop. Not the cheapest in town but the price is always exactly what they say.
> 5 stars - Sam K.: They showed me photos, explained my options, and let me decide. Will be back.

What Claude found: photo and video proof sent by text (about 12 of 30 reviews), the quote being the final price (9 of 30), and no upselling (8 of 30). It noticed no review used the word "quality." Its new headline: "We Text You a Photo Before We Touch Your Car." Its new subheadline: "The quote is the final price. If it can wait, we'll tell you it can wait. Serving our neighbors since 2009."
